Natural Colon Cleanser Recipes
Apple cider vinegar is well known for its colon detoxification properties. All bacteria and toxins that come in contact with the vinegar are destroyed. As a colon cleanser, the pectin in the vinegar acts as a bulking agent, expanding and attaching to waste trapped in the colon. The vinegar has a laxative effect, helping the waste product move through the colon quickly. Once this waste is removed, the body’s ability to absorb nutrients is improved. Apple cider vinegar also prohibits the growth of bacteria, yeast, and fungi within the intestinal tract. It is recommended that individuals wishing to use apple cider vinegar as a colon cleanser first measure his or her body acidity levels. The vinegar derived from apple cider is very acidic (pH. 2.8) and is not recommended for individuals whose body systems are already acidic.
For those who can handle the acidity, it is recommended to add 2 tablespoons of vinegar to a 16 oz glass of water and consume twice a day. The following recipes are variations for those who would prefer something a little less acidic:
Colon Cleanser Fruit Punch
1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
4 oz. lemonade
4 oz. orange juice
4 oz. grape juice
1-2 tsp. coriander juice (coriander acts as a stimulant)
Mix all ingredients together and shake well before drinking.
Apple Cider Colon Cleansing Shake
2 oz filtered organic apple juice
8 oz filtered water
1 tbsp Bentonite Clay
1 tsp. Psyllium
Mix all ingredients and consume and immediately follow with 10 oz of water mixed with 1 tsp. honey and 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar.
Each recipe can be consumed 2-3 times per day along with several glasses of water.
